Recommend me an environmental geology book?
Hi,
I would like to learn more about the applied science of environmental geology. I have already finished a course in introductory geology, as well as some more advanced courses in igneous and metamorphic petrology, sedimentology and stratigraphy. Along with this I also did some basic and a little more advanced soil science courses.
So I guess I should be able to handle something a little bit more advanced than a simple introductory book. Basically I just want to learn more about what exactly an environmental geologist does and what environmental geology is all about.

There are no advanced books about environmental geology. That is a general topic and is usually introduced to students at a 100 class level. What you are probably looking for are topics in specific fields of study. Most of the topics in general geology have environmental counterparts. A couple examples are the impacts of earthquakes on the environment including seismic sea waves, and urban flooding studies. It really depends on your specific interest. Pick a topic and look for literature dealing with environmental impacts of it with communities or health.
