Sid Vicious vs Steve Harris??? Sid can't play bass. It's hard to find a better bassist than Harris.

Sex Pistols were a fad and much like all fads they didn't last very long at all. Iron Maiden have done their own thing and pushed the boundries of their music. They came out before Sex Pistols and outlasted them some 30 years. Sex Pistols are dead and gone, Maiden is still on top. Maiden has outlasted not only Sex Pistols but countless music fads that have come and gone.

Sex Pistols are and always were a joke.

Sex Pistols. I've never been a fan of Maiden, but I love their Piece of Mind album. I have their Best-Of, too.

Unique and original? I might have to say Iron Maiden, since I've always considered Iggy Pop/the Ramones to be the ORIGINAL punks. The Pistols weren't quite the first, but they did have a HUGE impact.
