Squier Telecaster P90 Custom vs. Epiphone Les Paul Special II?
I just bought my first electric guitar today. It was a Squier Telecaster P90 Custom. I'm not very happy with it, & am going to return it tomorrow. I am looking at the Epiphone Les Paul Special II. Does anyone have any experience with either guitar? Any suggestions for a guitar that I can trade in for $250 (the price of my Telecaster).

Do you know what exactly you don't like about the Telecaster? If it is sound/tone you probably don't like the single-coil P-90s. The Epiphone Les Paul Special II is a great entry-level guitar if you're into the style of the Les Paul body and features humbucking pick-ups with a three-way switch. You'll probably like the way it sounds more if you're playing with rock/metal effects processing. I'd say visit your local store and give one a try before you make a decision.
