I have two misdemeanors that are on my records and 25 years ago I paid an attorney to have them taken off, but they are now showing up on the internet criminal background checks. What do you do to get this off the record when you have already paid an attorney to do it and that attorney is now retired.
Update:My girlfriend will not speak to me any more because of it even thought they are 25 years old. One is perjury & the other theft. No jail time for either & she doesn't even won't even ask the circumstances. She just won't talk to me.

I suspect what the lawyer did was have the court record expunged. However, the police record of the arrest or citation probably still exist.
Frankly, there is virtually nothing you can do about it now. You could pay another lawyer to go after ALL of the official records, but trying to clean anything of the internet is damned near impossible.
Since these misdemeanors are 25 years old, why even worry about them?
Her lost. Aren't you glad to know that she is like that now than down the line when you are married?
Anyhow, what you need to do is go to the court and explain to them the situation as you did here.
