below is all the info on the computer. about two years ago I put in a visiontek radeon HD2400 pro AGP video card to support the new monitor I bought. The monitor is a Gateway FPD1975w. it has 720p and 1440x900 res. recently my daughter has been playing club penguin and a few other kid games online and once in a while, the monitor would shut off and say no signal. then yesterday it kept doing it and then I couldn't get it to run windows unless it was in safe mode. So I uninstalled the drivers for the video card and the computer works just fine now, just everything on the screen is really big. I took out the video card and a couple of the fan blades were cracked and the basically the fan on the card is junk now. I kept getting the blue screen that said there was a problem with ait2dvag file. my computer also didn't want to install the drivers because it said there was a problem with the signature. So I'm looking for a new card that is compatible with windows xp home edition and will work with my monitor and play some games on the computer. I'm not a gamer but my daughter likes to play her games online. i figure those games wouldn't bog down the card like that, but it only happened when she was playing the computer. is it worth buying a new card or should i upgrade some components or just get a new computer? also, am I stuck with AGP or can I go PCI and which is better? thanks in advance
