Puppies/Dogs are way better than cats, but I have a cat because I work too far from home to have a dog. I like my can't because since he is "differently abled" he doesn't jump on my counters.
It depends on what you like. If you want to be active, play a lot, have a depending companion, and a friend who needs A LOT of attention, then get a dog. If you want to play a little, clean up a lot, not to have a lot of responsibility, and have a fuzzy cute friend all the time, get a cat. Choose what you would like better, but there both great pets.
Dogs are normally for more loyal people attention people. Who want to be a family. Cats are good for people who like their space and freedom from their pets since cats will normally come and go as they care and when they want. Where as dogs will always be wanting to play with you even if you wake them out of a dead sleep.
Both have great personalities and thinking of your own will match you up with the right type of pet.
I had cats when I was in an apartment they are good for apartment living. Then I got a dog and I have to say I like puppies and dogs better. They are like you friend cats (at least mine) were not all that friendly unless they felt like being friendly
I'm kinda on the fence about this one. I love both cats and dogs, but I'm more knowledgable about dogs, can list many breeds that I wouldn't mind owning.
When it gets down to it, I'd say I'd pick the puppy.

Dogs, definitely.
They are smarter
They are generally more playful and cuddly
They do much more than a cat can (or would).
They come in so many different varieties and personalities.
They are loyal and teachable.
Cats make nice pets too. But they just don't do as much as a dog. I give them this though- cats are usually the cleaner pet.

I prefer Dogs!
Dogs are better cats only like the food they dont care about you ( my opion ) dogs are loyal hehehe
In general I am a dog person! Nothing beats coming home to puppies who want nothing more than to wag their little tails, and spend time with you!
