Why does AVS video editor lag?
I'm getting so annoyed now.
My parents bought me a lenovo G505s because they were told that it was a good laptop for editing on. But whenever I make movies in AVS video editor 6.5 they always lag! Really badly. When I produce the video it runs smoothly but its really hard to make them because I can't see the vids properly! Please help!
If my laptop is too weak to process hd clips, is there anyway I can make the clips low quality while making it, and then make them hd before I save?
Update:Can anyone suggest to me a good editor that my laptop will be able to take?

Your parents were wrong.
The laptop is probably not powerful enough to do as you want.
Video quality has to start high, you can then use the high quality video to make LOWER quality video BUT not the other way round.
Same way a bicycle cant be peddled faster than a car, but a car can go at a bike speed.
