Windows Vista LAN detection problem?

Hi, I'm on a school LAN, with dynamic host configuration. Whenever I start my computer, it doesn't detect the LAN. I mean the network is completely dead. Also, it doesn't show the LAN icon from where i can debug or something and when I debug the connection, it just gives a message to enable wireless connectivity(which is not the solution). But when I restart my computer, it detects the networks and works fine then. I want to know how can I solve this problem, I AM SICK OF VISTA... anyone plz help.

Update:

The problem is not with wireless connectivity but with LAN (ethernet). Wireless is ok, it doesn't detect the LAN when I turn on the computer for first time.
