It is my understanding the only way to change the fuel pressure regulator on a 99 Mercury Cougar (2.5 v6) is to remove the intake manifold.. I recently had this done at a dealership but when I looked at the invoice, they did not charge me for manifold gaskets. Shouldn’t the gaskets have been replaced?

Only the intake plenum needs to be removed to access the fuel pressure regulator.
As long as this is done carefully, the gasket can be reused.
I wouldn't worry about it.
I also have a ninety 9 cougar with a v6 and approximately 2 months in the past i had an identical element completed. im uncertain in the event that they replaced the gaskets yet they charged me and better $sixty 5 in mis. expenses. im uncertain what which skill, yet ill in no way circulate there returned. i dont understand in the event that they replaced thegaskets or charged me for having to take 0.5 my vehicle aside (their words) or in simple terms felt like ripping me off.
