Am I making a mistake using Corel PaintShop Pro instead of Adobe Photo Shop?
I have chosen Corel PaintShop because it is so much less expensive than Photo Shop. Was that false economy?

If you are planning on doing commercial printing with it, yes. You should learn to use PhotoShop if you are going to at any point, but for most on-line uses PaintShop Pro is good enough.
