Does fish oil lower cholesterol? Also, what are the pro's and con's of taking fish oil? Could it also help you lose weight (with eating right and exercise)? What are some other natural ways I could lower my cholesterol?
Thank you in advance!

CHOLESTEROL is located in every membrane of every cell of our body. therefore, it can be found in fish. but it's found in greater amounts on red meat, because of the fat it contains. fish oil contains vitamins and acids that cannot be found in other food, so we must eat fish at least once a week.
to lower your cholesterol you could eat more fibres because they increase the time the cholesterol needs to be absorbed by the body.
Omega 3 is supposed to be good for thinning the blood and for the heart. Olive Oil as well. A study in Australia a few years ago
showed that eating half an avocado each day would lower the
cholesterol by as much as thirty points over a month or so.

WELL FINALY A HEALTH QUESTION, WELL AS SOMEONE THAT WAS IN THE MEDICAL FIELD I MUST SAY THAT YES FISH OILS DO HAVE BENIFETS BUT WHEN TAKEN AT A NORMAL RATE AND MUST BECAREFUL NOT TO OVER DO IT AND NOT CONSUME ADDITIONAL VITAMIN A IN WHICH COULD CAUSE A HEALTH ISSUE. AND ANOTHER WAY TO LOWER THE CHOLESTEROL IS TO EAT OATMEALS,WHEATS,FIBERS AND JUST PLAIN OLD COD LIVER OILS. ITS NASTY I KNOW, I WAS FORCED FED THAT BY MOMS WHEN I WAS JUST A PUP AND STILL LAUGH TO SEE THOSE OLD TIME MOVIES IN WHICH THE PARENTS GAVE THIS NASTY MED TO KIDS. GOOD TIMES!!LOL. OR U CAN JUST EAT FISH. TUNA,SARDINES EVEN HERRINGS. YEAH I KNOW, STICK WITH THE TUNA TRUST ME.. HOPE THIS HELPED..
yes fish oil or cod liver oil or even fish themselves are rich in omega3 which helps break down lipids (fat).
