Gestational diabetes is a sort of diabetes that is resolved once pregnancy ends. You will have to maintain a special diet and possibly take medicine through the rest of your pregnancy if you have it. Fetuses gestating in the wombs of mothers who have gestational diabetes also have a tendency to grow large, sometimes too large to be birthed naturally, so your doctor will keep an eye on it's estimated size. The baby will not be born with diabetes. However, some studies have found a link between gestational diabetes and acquiring the real disease later in life. There is no known cause of gestational diabetes.

Handiest a crystal ball can reply that question. You have got to work difficult and do the whole thing that you could to get your gestational diabetes under control. GD can carry your threat of getting an oversized youngster with below-developed lungs that's born prematurely. Meet with a dietician and restrict your intake of starch/grains. Ban all sugary meals out of your food regimen. This is particularly important.
