I am experiencingg the problem in the title whenever I attempt to OPEN a tab of Facebook. It's ONLY on https://www.facebook.com/ every other link works fine. Using chrome, I've disabled extensions, gone on incognito and deleted cookies, nothing worked. Switched to firefox, didn't work. Used some recommended CMD commands in admin mode, nothing. Restarted my network router, nope. Disabled firewall briefly and added exceptions to chrome etc, no effect. Restarting my computer did nothing. I even went to the point of changing to a different operating system (Ubuntu), but my beloved facebook still refuses to connect. Ive also tried on other devices, my iPod Touch 5th Gen and iPad 2 but facebook didn't connect. I've also gotten in contact with a friend who is with OPTUS in Australia, and CAN connect to facebook despite the fact that I cannot.

I assume that my ISP (I'm currently with TPG in Australia) has it blocked or malfunctioned etc and that I just have to wait until any issue is resolved and I can access facebook again.

P.S: After giving up earlier this afternoon and coming back to my iPod now, facebook notifications appeared on my lock screen, leading me to think that it had worked and connected briefly, but is now failing to bridge the connection again.

After all this, I have finally given in and logged on to yahoo answers in hope that I could confirm my assumption just in case there aren't any more ways of getting around this error. Is the problem me or my ISP? :)
