We have a new employee that is supposed to be following our procedures. Basically, she needs to get us in her requests for any need materials (she is an outside rep) she may need. We ask she give us 3 business days but it always ends up being more like 3 hours. It is very hard to stop everything I am working on and get all her stuff together in a short time. She says the reason this happens is because she simply forgets. I have given her tip to help her remember - ie timeline calendar but yet it keeps happening. Should I mention this to my boss that it is becoming a consistent issue. She is a very nice lady but nice does not get the job done.
Update:rtfm - thanks and I hear ya but that would hurt the company at the end of the day.

Next time she tells you she needs materials, tell her "Okay, thanks, we'll get those to you within the next three business days".
After a while, she'll get the message.
