My friend has to give a national level interview but he is too shy to speak. He is actually very intelligent and if the teacher asks the answers of questions he does not give the answers even if he knows the answer.Please help so that i can help him.

There is no way around this. Every time I am in that situation I turn bright red. Just practice it over and over, maybe in the middle of the mall, that way no one cares.

If you just google fear of public speaking you can find a lot on it. Maybe have him practice in front of you and some friends. Or have him try to approach strangers and talk to them, introduce himself.
