How can I hook up my amp to my computer so I can record guitar?
I have a Mesa Boogie Express 5:50. I want to hook up my guitar to the amp, and then have the amp hooked up to my computer so I can record with the amp sound. I'm currently recording straight guitar to computer, which doesn't have such a great sound to it. Thanks. And there is a 5 watt switch on my amp so I don't blow my computer up with the power surge,

Just get a Line6 Toneport GX and you wont have to worry about anything else :)
Nice amp!! If it has a line out you can run that 1/4" to a midi interface, if not you can mic it and run the XLR into the midi interface. The interface connects to the PC via USB.

You should mic the amp.
