I'm buying a new computer and need to transfer all my songs from itunes onto it. I have around 2000 songs and to put them all on seperate cd's would take me ages. Is there anyway I can transfer them quickly?

You can buy mp3 cd's, and they can hold A LOT of songs on them. You only have to use like 2 of them, which saves you a lot of time. Just go to Best Buy and ask them about mp3 cd's and they will tell you how much they hold and stuff.
If you have blank DVD-R discs and a DVD burner installed, that will do. So you have 2000 tracks in what bitrate? In 128kbps a track, it is possible to cram a thousand tracks in a single blank DVD-R. But if the bitrates are lower than that, maybe you can burn in 1500 tracks and burn the rest to 2 CDR's. A dual-Layer DVD-/+R may just be the trick to get everything in, provided your optical drive supports DL and burns at 16X.
