My husband is in the military, and we just received orders for San Diego. How would I keep my Nevada residency? We own a home here in Las Vegas, and we are keeping it.
Also, with the first time home buyers tax credit ... does anyone know if military personnel are excluded from paying the money back if they receive orders to go elsewhere and the 3 years of living in the home are not up yet?
Update:I already knew that I was able to keep my residency. I wanted to know if anyone knew how I would go about doing so.
Do I have to renew my license in Nevada? Do I have to keep my car registered in Nevada? Am I able to change my billing address to California? ETC ...

Thanks to Obama, you're OK.
President Barack Obama signed the Military Spouses Residency Relief Act, an amendment to the 2003 Servicemembers Civil Relief Act, on Nov. 11, 2009.
“This act, among other things, would provide that when a servicemember leaves his or her home state in accord with military orders, the servicemember's spouse may retain residency in his or her home state for voting and tax purposes, after relocating from that state to accompany the servicemember,” the president said in a Nov. 12 White House statement.
