HP compaq presario 5000 laptop?
Is there any way to repair everything and make the laptop return to its original state? like from when you first bought it or something? like on the startup of a computer there are usually some options to repair and stuff like that but i dont see it on the laptop. any ideas on how to do that?

+Mimi, you are obviously having some real problems with this unit. Why not put together a post with some specific symptoms you are experiencing and you could probably get some help with it. In answer to your questsion, if you want to restore your computer to it's factory defaults, it should have a Restore or Utility partition that you can boot into. If not, then you would need the CD's that came with the laptop. One of them is probably the restore CD or the one to reinstall the operating system.
<EDIT> A system restore will not take the unit back to its factory defaults (original state).
Start>All Programs>Accesories>System Tools>System Restore
