years ago in my city a drug dealer was murdered by another drug dealer. the drug dealer got arrested but when he went to trial, the jury seems didn't show much empathy to the victim due to his background so the drug dealer was sentece to only 3 years of prison and he got out in one year and serve 2 years probation and now he is truly free. my question is why juries show no mercy or empathy to victims who have a criminal background instead of people who have clean background. this happen in texas.

I think you are mixed up on the purpose of a jury. Sympathy, empathy etc. has no bearing. The jury is only there to determine if the evidence produced in court leads them to believe the suspect is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
The penalties for each of the felonies you mention are published along with sentencing guidelines. There is a low guideline for a person who made a one time mistake all the way up to the maximum for a repeat felon who is no benefit to the community. The judge matches up the guideline for the felony.
They are instructed to not take into consideration sentencing, empathy, or any other irrelevant factors that don't pertain to guilt or innocence. And besides, a judge determines the sentence anyways, not the jury. Juries are solely the finder of fact.
Yeah, these people have no concept of morality. They think that if someone is a drug dealer, then they are trash. They do not see them as human beings. If they had their way, they would have them euthanized like animals.
They don't care. The statement "jurors cannot lie" is invalid. Jurors are just as capable of criminal activity as anyone else.
It is not the jury's job to show empathy, in fact they are forbiddened to do so. Only the judge is allowed to show empathy. Juries deal only in facts, not in emotions.
why should they? this guy did them a favor by removing trash from the streets. with any luck he will kill many more dealers. hell i would give him a medal.
