Actually, I'm a long time subscriber to Guitar Player Magazine and Lemon Pledge should NOT be used because of the waxy buildup.
Endust...just plain old basic Endust is the way to go for a cheap, quality guitar cleaner,
Save your money and don't buy those expensive "made for guitar" cleaners. Endust will do the job just as well if not better.
If you have an electric guitar, you should use lemon oil on all metal parts which come in contact with your hand...especially the bridge area and the nuts which the strings rest on.
I wouldn't do it. There could be something in it that will dry out the finish. There are tons of cleaning products available for guitars so I really recommend investing in one of those products. I don't know what is in Lemon Pledge but anything containing citrus will dry the wood. When you see "lemon oil" advertised for guitars, it is not lemon oil at all, it is linseed oil with a lemon fragrance because us humans tend to associate clean with that particular smell. There is no real lemon in lemon oil for guitars, not sure about Pledge.

I honestly do not know. But I've played guitar for years and would not trust anything except Ernie Ball guitar cleaner. I sound like a commerical :D
But seriously-the guitar cleaner. It works well with my flat painted guitars as well.
Good on everything but rosewood.
