tell him that a pc is a much better machine for you as the increased perfomance for a lower price will give you the ability to do more things (play games) if he tells you that macs last longer just tell him that any computer that's well taken care of will last just as long. regular pcs are more usable as they are used by more people (it's sad watching the mac users in my information science program in college struggle with their laptops). unless you know that you have mac specific software that you know you need to use, which i doubt as you are still in high school you do not need a mac.
