My friends and I are hosting a lavish Halloween masquerade party. What should be some elements in the decor? Food choices? Games/activities? Any other ideas to make it a fun party? Thanks for the help (:

Bushels of apples - Cornstalks tied to pillars - fiber optic scarecrows - various sizes & colors of pumpkins - bales of hay - wheelbarrow filled with pots of mums ...
Make hot spiced cider (I mix apple cider with brandy and make it in a coffee urn, putting whole cinnamon & cloves in the coffee grind basket); orange soda in a cauldron with a piece of dry ice in there (it will create a fog flowing out of it) .... Buy some Mrs. Prindable's or Rocky Mountain Chocolate Company big cararmel apples; slice hem and arrange on a platter (they have websites) ... Bowls of popcorn balls ... Spice Cake with caramel frosting ... "Dirt Cake" cupcakes (Oreo cookie crumbs on top, with a gummy worm). And make this absolutely WONDERFUL pumpkin dip!

Rigatoni With Grilled Peppers And Onions
2 medium red onions, sliced into 1/2-inch-thick rings
2 large red bell peppers, cut into quarters
1 tbs. olive oil
Kosher salt and pepper
12 oz. rigatoni
1 bunch spinach, stems trimmed, or 1 5-oz. pkg.
1 C grated Parmesan
3/4 C basil leaves, thinly sliced
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Heat a grill or grill pan to med-high.
In a large bowl, toss the onions, bell peppers, oil, 1/2 tsp. salt, and 1/2 tsp. pepper. Grill, turning occasionally, until tender, 8-10 min. Transfer to a cutting board and cut into bite size pieces.
Cook the pasta according to pkg. directions. Reserve 1 C of the cooking water, drain the pasta, and return the pasta to the pot.
Add the grilled veggies, spinach, the reserved pasta water, and 3/4 C Parmesan to the pasta and toss to combine. Top with the basil and the remaining Parmesan before serving.
cool masks can be found in costume shops with masks I tend to go for the formal like phantom of the opera or just in a dinner jacket (depending how posh the party is) If the party is not posh and is just a normal dress up masquerade party, then I would recommend lone ranger or zorro hope this helps
