I can click the track pad and hear the click, etc. And the cursor works fine. But the laptop won't register or recognize any of my clicks..... For the time being, I changed my track pad setting to "tap to click" and that works, but why won't the laptop recognize my clicks? I need to drag click and stuff. HELP!!
Update:It won't register or recognize any of the physical clicks I make on the track pad.... When I changed the setting to "tap to click" with my usb mouse, it lets me gently tap on the track pad without physically clicking; it works then. I don't know how else to explain it. I don't know what's wrong with it. I was told to restart, which I did. And then to hold down option, command, p and r. All that didn't work.

I do not understand it....you said that
"I changed my track pad setting to "tap to click" and that works"
and then you said that your laptop won't recognize it. Can you clarify what you mean ? If it works then how come your laptop won't recognize it, so it didn't work ? or it worked ?
What exactly doesn't work ? lol
