I am posting a question for a final project in my College English class. It will be a study on people’s varying opinions on political philosophy. I believe that all political issues boil down to a point of how much power a government should have. I have devised a scale to measure how much power a government has. It is a 0-100 scale
-0 being a government that has no control over its people, or total anarchy.
-100 being a government that has total control over all aspects of its citizens’ lives.
I am asking for your “number” or what you believe a government’s power level should be. It would be greatly appreciated if you could comment with at least a number. If you also choose I would accept any explanations on your number or any other issues you choose to raise. Also, in order to find trends, if you could state your

Obviously this is totally arbitrary and the numbers will differ in meaning to a very large degree with every answer but....
I would say about 15 (government with very little control preferred). Believe a libertarian political environment, as to philosophy, is best.

Currently I would say the US government is at about 80 (rather high level of control of its citizenry and in interfering in their daily lives).
