Rental Lease invalid ?
Today we found out that our Landlord who is renting us a house of his for almost a year now has not received a rental lease license to make him able to rent the house. It requires him to receive a city inspection of the property and pass the inspection code in order to rent the dwelling. I live in Sugar Land Texas and was wondering if he is breaking the law in Texas ???

I'm assuming the answer is yes if Texas is like any other state. It's a civil law though, not a criminal one. Call your local city hall and report it. But be prepared to move out.
