Does anyone know a website that can tell me what kind of rock/mineral/crystal I have? I'm looking for something where I can type in the traits of my crystal and then it will give me some options as to what it could be. c:
Thanks!

Sorry to tell you, but there is actually a lot of testing that needs to be done to tell what kind of mineral or rock you have. I had a friend who was on vacation in south africa and thought he found a nice piece of rose quartz, he didn't know really where he was he showed it to me and told me where he found it and just through testing its hardness I actually found out he found a pink diamond, but it was very poor quality and to fragmented to be very valuable, but it was still worth about $200 rather than almost worthless. You can typically find out what it is by typing in the color and where it was found and get a pretty good guess
test your mineral for:
hardness: The resistance of a mineral to being scratched. Typically measured using the Mohs Hardness Scale.
luster: The manner in which light reflects from a mineral surface. Metallic, submetallic and non-metallic are the basic types of luster.
streak: The color of a mineral in powdered form. Streak is normally determined by scraping a specimen across a surface of unglazed porcelain known as a "streak plate".
crystal structure: the shape of the mineral... how the bonds of atoms are joined
fracture: how it breaks unevenly
color: um... the color
cleavage: how it breaks evenly

and

are good
also

you need to test your mineral too
simple tests such as hardness, luster, streak, crystal structure, fracture, color and cleavage will give you all the information you need nearly all the time
