I file a Direct Express card on Oct 9th that I've done in person at the Social Security Adminitration building. I did have my medical forms signed and gave it to Social Security. I thought I would get it in the mail already, however I didn't. I called in Social Security (told me I have no record of change about a card being mailed and I have a document printed out saying to my P.O box) then they said my Representive Payee has to protest if they decline or approve if I can handle my own benefits. I am 20 yrs old, I don't understand why Social Security has to tell my Rep Payee to give their opinion. Please help I'm tired of my Rep Payee. I want to take responsibilty with my own benefits. I don't have time talking to my Rep Payee and they're the one who yells and agrue with me all the time.
Update:I live with my Representive Payee.*
