Since I've had my son, Jonas (he was stillborn due to a cord accident) my cycle has been very regular, but my luteal phase has been very short. Only 11 or 12 days. Would having a short luteal phase create any problems in concieving? (We have been trying for 5 months well 6 now, with no luck, and it only took 2 the first time)

Don't take Clomid without consulting a doctor. It can cause OHSS.
Your LH is fine at 11 or 12 days, but if you're worried, you could get a series of blood tests done to check that you're making enough progesterone. That's the normal cause of a short LP. Anything above progesterone = 12 is great.
However, I think you should not worry about it, relax, and it will happen :)
Good luck xoxoxox
It depends on how short is short. If it is at least 10 days, then there is no problem. Pregnancy can be achieved with at least 10 days. If it is less than 10 days, the egg may not have enough time to properly implant. If it doesn't have the chance, then it can't tell your body to produce the pregnancy hormone hcg. Hcg will stop your menstrual period by keeping the progesterone high and the estrogen lower. You can still get pregnant, but you might want to check with a doctor to lengthen the luteal phase. Best of luck to you!
A 'normal' luteal phase is 10-16 days. So yours is within range.
Good luck to you. It can take a normal healthy couple up to and beyond a year - the odds of conception with perfect ovulation/intercourse timing are only 25-30%. Hang in there - and sending babydust!
it is my understanding that a short luteal phase does not stop conception. speak to your doctor regarding the length of your luteal phase though if he feels there is a problem with the length of it there is tons of medications that can be given for luteal support.
i have taken them myself
lots of luck to you.
I had a short LP. And come to find out wasn't ovulating. I had a lot of bloodwork done. I had an elevated DHEAS. The doc thought that would fix it, but no luck. I had no problem having my first child. I got clomid from http://www.medstore.biz/prescriptions/clomid/ I got pg on my first round of clomid.
Your LP is fine 9 days and under makes it impossible to sustain a pregnancy.
