i am just going to assume it a uses a tape to record. if its a tape, buy a cleaning tape and run it through a few times. it should take care of the problem. if not it probably needs a new drum assembly and you can not repace that by yourself. you would need to send it in for service. hopefuly it is under warranty still, if not a repair can be very costly. (if it really needs to be repaired)

well how about adding to you quest what you got and how you playing it back.

Also make sure everything is on auto, read the manual to set it to auto.
