What scenario IF Obama sends cruise missiles into Syria & Russia retaliates?
Say a U.S. missile cruiser is sunk & many killed? Seems to me Britain has no stomach to face Russia, Iran, and China. Seems Britain is taking a humanitarian approach, leaving U.S. to slide on greased rails into Hell. Could British Army Chief of Staff really be Lord Cornwallis of the Battle of Yorktown, but holding his sword firmly?

No, Britain is a smart country and sees the stupidity in fighting someone like Russia because it prohibited USA to destroy a small weak country.

The only actual changes from Cold War are that Russia no longer has the military to occupy Europe, if opposed by the US in a conventional war.
