I got a new chile rose tarantula around 3 days ago, humidity is fine, temprature is 76-80 F. But he has rejected food and hasnt been active at all! Why is this..?
A still tarantula is a happy tarantula. Meaning, it's good that he hasn't been active.
As for rejecting food, that might indicate that he is stressed or that he has an upcoming molt.
By humidity it better be bone dry or it's going to be very stressed.
Rosies are like pet rocks, they barely move around and can fast for MONTHS, even up to a year in some cases. Don't be alarmed, it's normal.
He's stressed and confused about the environment.
