What would the punishment be if say someone were to sleep overnight in a Target? Theres this hobo always next to the Target i go to, me and friends were making jokes how he probably spends the night in there. Actually, so long as the place is not a residence, and he did not enter with the intent to commit a theft or felony, and he did not set up a permanent occupation of the building, he would not be violating any California law of which I am aware unless he refused to leave after being requested to do so.
