I have a Penel FORTE 0.5 mm pencil that has a small piece of lead stuck in the tip where you write. The rest of the pecil works fine, except the lead in the tip is preventing any of the advancing lead to be used for writing. How do I go about clearing the lead from my mechanical pencil?

If they are like 99% of the mechanical pencils I have - you can pull the eraser out and there will be a very thin, needle like piece of metal embedded in it.
Then - unscrew the very tip of the pencil.
Use the thin metal piece to push the graphite through.
If that metal isn't in the eraser - you can probably still unscrew the very tip, then get a needle to push the graphite through.
It's not lead its graphite.. I would think you could use tweezers to pull it out. Or take it to the local office supply store and see if they know another way.
