Hello, Im having a problem with I think its either my windows or my CPU. I have a 3.2ghz CPU with 1gb ram. I dont understand yet why my computer jerks whenever i try to load up an application. It jerks writing this message.
Would it be my windows could just need re-installing or something to do with my processor?

clean em
Its not your processor, you would probably be best off backing up your data and reinstalling Windows if you dont know much about cleaning up your HDD/services/processes.. If you do go through processes in task manager and find all the ones you dont need, download adaware and remove spware/adware from your computer. Remove items from startup.. Most of the jerkiness happends from too many processes at one time holding up your processor from doing what you need to do. Go into task manager and look at how many process threads are running.. If there are more then 35-45 then you have way too many things running in the background..
Forgot to add run a disk defrag, it does wonders and everyone should be running this utility at least once a week if there is heavy usage on ther computer..
i have a 3ghz processor and 1gb ram with a graphics card 256mb. i think u'd be better off formatting your hard drives or reinstalling windows. it could also be that your processor overheats and that causes the computer to slow down. a remedy for that would be to check if the processor's fan is well tightened. also maybe the thermal paste is messed up. or maybe u have a lot of programs loaded so u should probably delete a couple. my computer totally crashed so i reinstalled everything and now its perfect and im not overworking it. hope this helps
Would have liked to have a bit more info regarding this --
But if the problem is with the display jerking you may have some other issues
Firstly check the refresh rate on the monitor - set to high?
Check the refresh rate on the display properties again to high?
In the dev manager > uninstall the graphic;s card and then restart = same problem?
Restart then PC and keep tapping f5 or f8 and select >> enable VGA mode
see if it still "jerks" around
