These answers are assuming you are asking for the U.S. Marines, I don't know about other countries.
1-pay depends on rank/time in service/ and dependents, here is a pay chart
http://www.dfas.mil/militarypay/militarypaytables....
2- You earn leave at an average of 2.5 days a month (total of 30 days a year) to use almost whenever you want, or you don't have to use them at all if you don't want.
3-Basically the military will send you where they want you, you might have choices as preferences for duty stations, but they will send you where you are needed the most.
4- basic contract is for 4 years active 4 inactive, there are others depending on the mos you are getting to (some comm MOS's require 5 years active for example), but this one is the most common and the one you will be most likely doing if you join.
military Rangers = Marine Reconnaissance military Infantry = Marine Infantry consequently the army Rangers has a tougher preparation than Marine Infantry. the army Rangers are the elite protection tension forces of the army. yet in terms of universal high quality, little doubt this is going to the Marines.
The pay scale is the same for all the branches , you can find it on-line.
You earn 30 days leave a year the same in all branches.
You go were ever they tell you to go when they tell you.
The minimum enlistment is 4 year s active 2 years inactive.
Hope this helps, SEMPER FI
