1984 gmc electrical issue?
i have a 1984 gmc 1500 with a 6.2 diesel. it has a manual glow plug set up on it hooked up to a toggle switch. if i flip that on i can hear the glow plugs kick on and the light on the dash comes on. other than that no electical anything works, when i turn on the key the gauges, radio nothing comes on. not even the brake or headlights. is there some kind of a main fuse that could be bad?

Electrical troubleshooting can be a nightmare. First check all your fuses than move on to relays, circuit breakers and fusible links. Most likely though since nothing works its probably the main wiring harness for the body that is bad.
