The car starts but then wants to shut off immediately some times it will. In order to keep it on you need to keep turning the key and give it gas. Curious to see what people think is the problem
You probably either have a low fuel pressure issue or an ignition source issue. The most common causes are: dead or dying fuel pump, clogged fuel filter, bad fuel pump relay, bad ECM/PCM/computer relay, bad ignition module, bad ignition coil or coil pack.
If it has over 100000 miles on it then the best suspect is the fuel pump. The ignition module would be the second biggest suspect with the coil as the third but you should go thru each item to see which it is.
