Hi i recently purchased 30% salicylic acid to help my mild acne problems that I have had for many years now. I used it extensively throughout the day on both sides of my cheeks, because i had many cystic pimples forming. I look in the mirror now and my skin is now a brownish-red color, its light but noticeable among my acne. It stings to touch it. I am curious how long will this last? It worked great for stopping the pimples, but now i have this problem. Im a white male if that helps. Thanks

You do NOT use Salicylic acid peel on your face more than about once per week. You need to give your skin time to heal. What salicylic acid does is loosen the bonds between your skin layers, so the top layers peel off on their own. Doing it repeatedly in a short period of time will expose the deeper layers of your skin and really mess you up.
So stop using it for a week or two until your skin heals up. Then use it once every 4 to 7 days (until your skin doesn't look red or peely).
I did a review of this on Amazon a couple years back, it's the 3rd review down on the link.
