Hey i have a 1995 3000gt, when i drive my car it all works well. until i start to slow down. Right before i come to complete stop at a red light or something my tranny kicks. Does anyone know if this is the tranny? if it is how much do you think it will cost?

Internal transmission issues are never very cheap, especially for Mitsubishi's flagship sports car.
If it's an automatic, you're in need of a rebuild as it's most likely slipping. For a manual, your syncros are shot. For a 6-speed transmission (Twin Turbo cars only), it'll cost you one pretty penny as dealers don't like to stock parts. Mitsubishi was sued by 3000GT/ Stealth owners in federal court for racketeering by refusing to stock internal parts.
If you're in need of a rebuild for the 5-speed, give TRE a call. They deliver very nice results.
If it's a stick shift manual transmission you are in the wrong gear and should learn to downshift. If in third or higher gear, at stopping speeds the motor is forced to slow down rpm's too much and tries to stall causing the "kick". Try pushing the clutch in and coasting to the stop and see if the engine idles normally and the kick is gone. If it is gone downshifting wrong is the problem.
If it's an automatic you have internal trans problems.Make sure the check engine light is not lit or the computer may be running the transmission in fail safe which keeps it from shifting.
i dunno...bad synchro maybe? regardless, it's gonna cost a lot because it's in the trans. Trans issues are never cheap =\
