Hi. I just rented an apartment in which the landlord will be allowing me to share his cable which includes wireless internet access. Is it possible for this individual to spy on all of my internet business including gaining access to my banking and personal data?. Land lord lives above me? Thanks so much for answering my question.

if he is good with computers,he can access your info,firewall will block him for a while until he finally get in,tell him no thanks,get your own

Yes it is possible for him to get access to your personal data. the chances are less than 10% unless he is making a career out of it. He will need to have the software to do this. Also he might just be offering an incentive so he can get a tenant on his property.
The fact of the matter is, anyone can get acces to your personal data as long as you are using the internet. just make sure you protect your network connection with a password and have an up to date firewall in your computer.
Yes it is possible quite easily as well. It really isn't a good idea sharing the internet.
