i just started the harry potter series and snape is by far my favorite character but i am curious about when he says (after all this time always) like when did he say this in which movie or book
I think you are referring to the the last book/movie... Severus had a major flash back and we read/saw his life before hogwarts. Kind of showing where his love for lily came from and why he was so "mean".

Snape is a great character in that book.... You never really know if he is on the good side or the bad side up till near the end. Well like you said J Potter acted like a jerk. Though the story on them was not told. Without Snapes character in the book it wouldn't be interesting to read. :) Hope you already read the last book!
Err - Snape says that in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
He was always my favourite character, even before I found out about him in DH.
"After all this time?"
"Always,"
Snape yelled Expecto Patronum and a Silver Doe showed up, which is exactly the same patronus as Lily Evans... And Dumbledore realised he was in love with Lily, he always ways. And he asked Snape,
"After all this time?"
And Snape said,
"Always,"
Meaning of course that he was always in love with Lily.
HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS
CHAPTER: THE PRINCE'S TALE (My favourite chapter of the whole series!)

dumbledore says "after all this time?" and snape says "always" in the deathly hallows part 2, or in book terms, the deathly hallows.
its the part where harry sees snapes memories.
Dumbledore "After all this time?"
Snape "Always."
This occurs in the 6th book, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
Snape shoots a doe patronus in his office.
I was look for this exact thing and you guys didn't help. But don't worry, we found it, it is on page 687.
This makes no sense.
