I love Alice, Clara and Constance. Constance is my grandmother's name and I plan on using it for a middle name someday. Grace has always seemed to lack personality to me. Every Grace I have met hasn't suited her name. i'd rather it for a middle name. Lucy is cute but I can't really see it on an adult for some reason.
I much prefer Clara over Claire. It sounds like a bell to me.
Alice~ Old fashioned but very usable. Allie is a cute nick name as needed.
Clara is beautiful to me. Invokes thoughts of a pretty woman with curly hair and big, brown eyes.
Constance is an ancient name. It was my grandmother's name and she was born in 1895. She was never, ever called Connie but once awhile called Con by my Granddad. I love the name.
Grace is a virtue name. It's hard to live up to and it's high handed. It's over used and incredibly boring.
Lucy~ Nice enough except for the fact that it's so popular for cats and dogs. The only human I know with the name is in her 60's. I know 6 cats and dogs with the name and a horse.
Clara and Alice are most usable to me. I love Constance but I have a hard time picturing anyone under 70 with the name.
Grace --> Lovely name, over used, prefer as a middle name if a must to use.
Lucy --> Lovely name, ages well. Suits the young & old. I know a couple under 6 and it's cute. I knew a lady 99 years old named Lucy and it still suited her. I personally prefer this as a nickname for Lucinda, Lucille etc.
~ Alice, Clara & Constance are definite keepers for first names ~
Constance is nice, its a classic and Grace, its simple with a sweet meaning. Lucy and Clara seem kind of bland. Alice seems too "old skool" for a girl today.
Grace and Clara are my favorites! My daughter's name is Clara, and I love it so much because it ages well and isn't trendy. It's also nearly always spelled and pronounced right. It isn't too popular, but it also isn't unheard of! So classy and feminine.
Grace is a name we love for a future daughter for the same reasons we love Clara!
With Clara obviously my daughter comes to mind. She's almost two, and so smart, nice, and funny. She loves sharing her toys and dance class!
With Grace I picture and artistic, musical, and spunky girl. A free thinker, but is also very kind and respectful.

I find Alice very bland. I don't care much for it.
Clara is my favourite name on this list. So pure and feminine.
Constance (nn Connie) is very dated. It reminds me of older women. I dislike it quite a lot, actually.
Grace is lovely, but I find it mostly works best as a middle name.
Lucy is my second favourite name from this list. It's innocent and mellifluous.
