Could anyone explain how human weed control measures may inadvertently select for weed plants that have a resistance to the measures?
I don't have a scooby and i'm completely lost! any help would be fantastic! thank you :)

Weeds that can survive the various control measures survive whereas those who can't don't. Those weeds breed and create offspring that can also survive the control measures, while control measures again kill those who can't.
Over time, the measures get less effective.
