Hi I was wondering if anybody can help me.. I am a 25 yer old girl hoping to travel to australia on a working holiday visa however i was convicted of knowingly being involved in the cultivation of cannabis in 2010. I basically took the blame for my boyfriend at the time and when arrested the police knew I had nothing to do with it but obviously could not tell them anything for fear of my life. I was given a sentence if 51 weeks imprisonment suspended for 2 years. The 2 years were up last year.I have no other criminal record apart from this and are otherwise of very good character. What do you think the chances are that I would get accepted and if I was declined is there any way to appeal and explain my case?
I was wondering if 51 weeks would be classed as 12 months and therefore substantial?
Thanks for any help on this xx

Before submitting anything in writing or filling in any application form you could either try ringing up and asking or going down to London and queuing up to ask.
But whatever the circumstances the offences is documented and will stand, and because it is drug related they very likely will not let you have a visa.

You would not be eligible for entry into Australia
