Base model Mac Book Pro, or base model iMac?
Which one would be better? I currently have a SONY VAIO laptop, but I really don't go anywhere and it is very big and heavy, battery doesn't last long either. It is only between the base models for the Mac Book Pro or the iMac, I don't currently have a desk or anything for a desktop, but in the time it will take to save for either, since they cost the same, I could get a desk. Any suggestions?

My opinion is get a standard Macbook and an Mac mini. Why setting for one Mac when you can get both? Once you do that add some RAM to both machines by buying it from somewhere like Tigerdirect.com. RAM is cheap and easy to install. Unless you are doing big movie editing or image editing I would stay away from the Macbook Pro. If you are a gamer then you shouldn't even be considering Mac for games. Get a PC from iBuyPower.com to get better gaming gear. Hope this helps.
