Birth control effectiveness question?
How effective are they when you've recently taken an antibotioc and how long do you have to be off of an anti biotic in order for them to regain effectiveness. Theres no pregnancy scare, i'm just wondering.

it depends on what type of birth control.
IUDs are not effected if they are no hormones.
But if your on the pill, It depends on the type of antibiotic but generally the dr. will encourage you to wait a week before you have unprotected sex after you finish your antibiotics. there are also signs when antibiotics interfere with b control like spotting.
