Ok this is coming from a guy with an A+ and degree in networking.
Explain this.
Blip.tv CRASHES my computer, bsod, AFTER the ad runs on blip.tv.
Specs:
m3a32-mpv-delux asus
9550 AMD black
8gigz of DDR2 ram
ATI HD 4850
Win7 64bit
I have attempted to use chrome, FF, IE, opera.
Same thing happens.
Start any blip video, as soon as it starts, or the ad finishes the video window turns green and the computer either, goes to BSOD, OR sometimes windows gives a recovery mode error stating that it repaired an issue with my video card, followed by a BSOD within 10secs after.
I watched a blip.tv video last night, no issues, nothing has changed since then, computer wasnt even turned off overnight.
Recently I reformatted, so about a month now, i am virus free and the only new hardware is I no longer am using a USB sound system, i am using the internal mobo sound for a logitech z5500 which has NO drivers. Just plug into the 4 speaker ports.
Any thoughts?
My attemps are to run the browsers in XP SP3 mode, did a virus scanner check (clean of course), installed flash again, deleted window temp files, delete temp files for FF, chrome, and IE, restarted.
Checked internal computer temps, 50c for CPU and 48c for GPU, and mobo temp at 55c (all normal for me)
Anything else???
I did research and nobody seems to have an answer, they all just say "oh use youtube" or people just dont work on this problem.
Update:Did a system restore to last week - no good
Reinstalled adobe - no good
Deleted chrome and reinstalled adobe - tested with IE and WORKED!
Installed chrome - no good.
Tried again with IE - broke!
Seems once chrome tries to use blip.tv it screws up adobe in some way in that it won't even work with IE.
The solution was to just remove chrome, remove flash.
Install both again.
And watch blip.TV in FF or IE ONLY, never use chrome for it, at least until an update for chrome or adobe comes out.

Blip bluescreens me.
Found anything by any chance?
1) Keep your Operating up-to-date with all patches and updates and service packs, if any, applied 2) Use only licensed software or those from a trustworthy source. Many free software come with ad-wares, spy wares etc 3) Use a good anti-virus software (For Microsoft, I will suggest Microsoft Security Essentials) and keep it frequently updated. 4) Be cautious while browsing 5) Don't download and open email attachments from unknown people 6) Do not open email attachment from people you know, if don't one from them. 7) Ignore Online virus checker, Registry Cleaners, Live Screen Savers etc as they all contain malicious codes attached. 8) turn on your firewall. 9) Keep a reliable copy of all your valuable data on a remote hard drive or CD or an internet FTP location (zipped and password protected). Data you don't keep a copy is the data you don't care for. Research and engineer your self and find more means. Wish you good luck
