braces problems? please help?
i have had braces for about 8 months now, i don't clean them regularly, and i was told that i will get permanent marks on my teeth, what are they called? and can i see a pic/image or it? and is there any way whatsoever of getting rid of these marks? or making it less noticeable?
also about two months ago two of of my brackets came off, does that mean that the whole process of fixing my teeth will start again from the beginning?
and how do i know if the braces are even working?
and do you think i should have just got surgery? it sounds like so much less work?

If it's already occurred, there is nothing you can do. You can help prevent further damage by brushing and flossing.
The two broken brackets can be re-glued without starting everything over. But if it's been 2 months, that's at least 2 more months that your braces will be on.
Your orthodontist probably took pictures before your braces. You could ask to see them and have the orthodontist show you the progress and what still needs to be done.
Surgery is much more extreme than braces and many people who have jaw surgery have braces as well.
The white marks on ur teeth are scarring and are called scares from not cleaning well or regularly They kinda look like milk deposits but there not, and when you get your braces of if you have scarring it may look like they had left glue on your teeth from the brackets but its not. To prevent these scarrers from happeing start brushing ur teeth after big meals and get was water pik. (I put a link bellow for a really good one but any of them are really good.) Also if you have these scarres when you get your braces off you can use whiteing stripes totry to match the color.
The whole process will start again if you dont get your bracets fixed, beacuse your teeth will shift back to the way they were before you go ur braces on. But if you got the bracets fixed when it fell off you should 'nt have a problem.
Braces work slowly but really fix your teeth. After a while your teeth will look different and straighter. If you have a picture of when you go them on and a picture from now you could tell you teeth have shifted.
I dont think they have a surgery to make your teeth come together but depending on your case i couldnt tell you.
