I've been 4cm dilated for over a week now and I'm having contractions with increase in intensity the more active I am and every little move I make, especially bending down makes me have one. My question is are these braxton hicks or the real thing and also, how much longer do you think I have before I go into active labor, I'm due on Thursday. Thanks

One of the keys to recognizing Braxton Hicks is that when you change position or become active they should ease or stop all together. It sounds like you're have true contractions, but whether it's labor yet or not is in the air. Make sure you're timing them. When they become 10 minutes or less apart for an hour then you should head to the hospital. With being 4cm dilated I might even say 15 minutes or less apart. Good luck and congratulations!
If the contractions become longer stronger and closer together, its labor. if they stay the same and are irregular then its braxton hicks. since you said they are becoming more painful i would say its labor.
They might be truly contractions however on the grounds that there brief and no longer steady they will not be affecting our making ur uterus dilate simply but its ur frame getting ready you for exertions however begin timing them in the event that they end up longer and extra widespread related to stress within the rear finish pass to the sanatorium instantly
